Thea is a SketchUp plugin that allows you to render interactively from within the SketchUp window.

Interactive Region Rendering allows you to select and render an area of SketchUp’s view. This provides fast feedback for complex scenes.

Interactive Mode also allows for the use of NVIDIA’s or Intel’s artificial Intel denoisers.

SketchUp now includes the Thea material editor. SketchUp brings all the best and most unique features of Thea.

The user interface has been designed, following SketchUp’s simplicity and ease of use.

It is easy to add TheaModels to your scene. It is easy and fun to edit them in the viewport. All the materials of your proxy can be accessed and modified with just a click.

Proxy material editing allows for the possibility to revert to the default materials.

Proxy creation is a one-click process of automatically converting fbx, dae, 3ds, and other 3d file formats to Thea Models, ready to be inserted to your scene.

You can save these models in Thea Content Browser folders. Then you can organize them however you want.

  • Windows 8.1/10 /11 64bit, Intel SSE3 (or compatible)
  • Presto GPU Nvidia CUDA graphics card (Compute Capability 3.x /5.x / 6.x /7.x / 8.0 / 8.6 ).
  • AMD Graphics Card (Beta support for selected GPUs) with the latest OpenCL and graphics drivers.
  • Note: for OpenCL rendering, render-on-the-fly displacement is supported only for UV bitmap textures.
  • Nvidia OptiX Denoiser Nvidia 5.0min compute capability is needed for Nvidia OptiX Denoising interactive rendering. Nvidia 3.0 min compute capability card required for Nvidia OptiX denoising in production rendering.
  • Intel Open Image Denoiser Intel SS4.1 processor (or compatible).
