About the software

Ansys MotorCAD allows for multiphysics simulation at high speeds across the entire torque-speed operating range.

Motor-CAD enables design engineers to evaluate motor topologies and concepts across the full operating range, to produce designs that are optimized for performance, efficiency and size. The four integrated modules Motor-CAD software – EMag, Therm Lab, Mech – enable multiphysics calculations to be performed quickly so that users can move quickly from concept to final designs.

MotorCAD users are able to perform faster calculations and use streamlined data input processes, leaving them time to explore other motor topologies and assess the impact on advanced loss effects in the first stages of an electrical design.

  • Operating Software: Windows 11 Windows 10, Windows 8 8.1 Windows 7, Windows 7
  • Windows 10 runs on 64-bit Intel/AMD systems
  • 8 GB RAM
  • A dedicated graphics card equipped with the latest drivers and at minimum 1GB RAM. It should be capable of supporting OpenGL and DirectX 11 or higher. Integrated graphics (e.g. Intel HD/IRIS is not recommended. See below for special graphics requirements for ANSYS Discovery Live.
