Photomatix is an effective device when you want to design an Hdr benefit on a single portrait.

Generally, we create Hdr picture from a blend of three or more different exposures of the same world. The functions chosen for the three exposure effectively tell the lens to concentrate just on the dark or just on the highlights during each opportunity.
