About software

Modbus Poll is a Modbus master simulation that was created to assist Modbus slave device developers or anyone who wants to simulate and test the Modbus protocol. You can monitor multiple Modbus slaves at once with the multiple document interface. Simply specify the Modbus slave number, address, size and poll rate for each window. Any window can read and modify registers and coils. Double-click any register value to make changes. Or, you can modify multiple registers/coils. There are many data formats available, including float, double, and long with word order switching.

The status line will display exception errors.

As a slave developer, you can create and send your test strings to the “test centre” and then check the result in hex numbers from the slave.

OLE Automation is used to interconnect with Excel. To interpret and display Modbus data according your requirements. E.g. Excel allows you to edit and transmit data to slave devices. Try the Excel example.xlsm installed with the program.
