Modern CSV can be used as a powerful tabular editor/viewer program for Windows, Mac and Linux. Professionals of all technical levels use it to analyze data and modify configuration files, maintain customer records, and to check files before uploading them to databases. With most commands, you can operate on multiple rows, columns, or cells at once. This makes repetitive tasks easy.

Many commands come with a keyboard shortcut. If you don’t want the default shortcut, or if a command doesn’t have one, you can create your own shortcut.

The Find/Replace tool has all the options that you need to locate what you want. It can show you preview Replace operations and highlight matches as they are typed.

If you need to sort a column, double click the column label. It uses stable kind to preserve as much of the order as possible.

You can also manually hide any rows or columns that you desire. Simply select the desired row or column and call hide.
